Jubilee!

Jubilee is a day of celebration throughout the Bible. It's from the Hebrew word "nun" which means 50.

The Bible has many examples of the significance of this sacred number. Pentecost in Acts 1 and 2 took place 50 days after Passover. Pentecost in Hebrew means fiftieth.

Today is a Jubilee day and year that for me that marks 50 years being baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Woot Woot!

That day forever changed the trajectory of my life. March 1, 1972 at 1:00 pm in the afternoon.

Fifty stands for deliverance, freedom from a burden and a time when all debts were settled and slaves were freed. In Arabic the word "nun" means life more abundantly. In Hebrew it means a kneeling and humbling of yourself.

Fifty speaks of the coming of God's Spirit and is used in that way 154 times throughout the Bible.

Jubilee speaks of replenish, restore and revive (re-life).

"But as for me, I will sing each morning about Your power and mercy. For You have been my high tower of refuge, a place of safety in the day of distress. O my strength, to You I sing praises; for You are my high tower of safety, my God of mercy." Psalm 59:16-17

Writing this devotional on this special day marks another milestone. My husband went home to be with Jesus nine months ago. The Lord told me to go on a sabbatical; to take time to sit with Him and be replenished, restored and revived. He has been my high tower of safety and now He is birthing a new season of fruitfulness in my life. To God be the glory.

I celebrate the return of writing this weekly Tuesday email devotional. With joy I resume other aspects of ministry with fresh zeal and the oil of the Holy Spirit flowing unhindered to equip believers and set the captives free.

Thank you for praying for me during my sabbatical season. I've been praying for you and expecting great things for this year and beyond for all of us to accomplish exploits in Jesus' mighty name.

Celebrate Jubilee with me as I expect God to replenish, restore and re-life each of us to advance His kingdom in the earth today.

Let's sing each morning about His power and mercy for we serve a mighty God who saves, heals and delivers.

Prayer Corner: "Dear Heavenly Father,  You are so mindful of my need to be replenished, restored and revived.    Thank You for being my strong tower of safety and mercy. I run into You and I am safe.    I desire to receive fresh oil from You today, Holy Spirit. Fill me to overflowing with Your mighty power and love so that I can be a vessel of honor fit for Your use.    Amen.
