"But thanks be to God! He always gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." I Corinthians 15:57

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." I Thessalonians 5:18

"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:28

In life we have many times of celebration and joy. Birthdays, Anniversaries, special events, winning a game, landing the deal, spending time with special people, graduations, and on and on.

In life we have many times to walk through tough places and difficult emotional terrain, losses, betrayals, funerals, and on and on.

For us, who are in Christ through the new birth, we have a constant that is available to us through all the ups and downs we face...and that is Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory who is within you and your continual companion.

He celebrates alongside you.

He's with you as you experience sadness.

His presence is 24/7, a constant and never-ending source of strength, hope and peace.

If asked to share a nugget of wisdom gleaned in my lifetime knowing Jesus, here's what I would say, "Be mindful that you don't take God's presence for granted!. Cherish His blessings! Cherish Him."

Gratitude provides benefits:

Helps you sleep.
Fosters hope for the future.
Reduces stress.
Improves your health.
Consistently associated with greater happiness.
And more.
God's admonishment for a grateful people isn't for His benefit. It's for yours.

As you release your praise and thanks upward, His showers of blessings rain downward upon your parched soul and you are uplifted.

God thinks of everything. He wants His people whole, complete, lacking nothing filled with His ever-abiding presence.

Get your thanks on today! it's for your own good.
